ABOUT THIS ROLE:

This role would be suitable for an individual who has 12 months or more of administrative experience within a Procurement/Purchasing department or has experience as a Junior Buyer and is looking for the opportunity to develop into a Buyer role. The successful candidate would be given support through their CIPS qualification and the opportunity to progress into a role with more responsibility and autonomy.

HOURS OF WORK:

· 08:30 – 17:00 (Monday to Thursday), 08:30 – 16:00 (Friday)

· 39 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch

TRAINEE BUYER – KEY DUTIES:

  • Preparing requisitions with internal stakeholders for goods and services
  • Creation of purchase orders for goods and services, direct and indirect
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders
  • Manging invoice queries
  • Month end tasks and reporting
  • Sourcing/projects
  • Any other reasonable duties

TRAINEE BUYER – REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

  • Educated to GCSE level grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Experience in an administrative role, ideally within a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience of using a recognised ERP package would be an advantage and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Possess excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving License
