Insituform UK Improves Operator Comfort with COBA’s Fatigue-Step® Solid
The Challenge: Worn Anti-Slip Flooring Creating Operator Discomfort
Insituform UK, specialists in pipeline rehabilitation solutions, identified a need to replace the existing 3mm fine-ribbed anti-slip rubber flooring surrounding one of their high-volume production machines. The old flooring had reached the end of its life, no longer meeting safety or aesthetic standards.
While the previous surface provided basic slip resistance, it offered no anti-fatigue benefits, leaving operators uncomfortable during long standing periods. Fatigue and discomfort were becoming noticeable issues in this busy production area. Insituform wanted a product that would not only restore safety but also enhance operator comfort and long-term wellbeing.
The team had previously worked with COBA in other parts of their facility, so when it came to upgrading this area, COBA was their first point of contact.
The Solution: Installing COBA’s Solid Fatigue Step Anti-Fatigue Matting
COBA Account Manager Paul Lauper worked closely with Insituform to identify the most suitable flooring solution. Samples were supplied for on-site evaluation, and once the Fatigue-Step® Solid proved ideal, COBA arranged a site visit to measure up and provide a quotation.
